Great Moments in Vinyl features The Class of 1973

  • Steger VFW 3332 Chicago Road Steger, IL (map)

American Graffiti was at the movie theaters, the Watergate hearings were on TV, and the Vietnam War had finally come to an end.

While musically, it was one of the most exciting years in rock.  Each of The Beatles had a hit of his own.  Paul Simon was doing fine without Garfunkel.  Carly Simon had us all guessing about that person who was so vain.  While Elton John put out one of the most successful albums of his career.

And if those artists weren’t keeping you happy enough with their 8-track tapes, you could turn on your car radio and rock out with everyone from Aerosmith to ZZ Top.

Great Moments in Vinyl brings back one of our favorite shows from this past summer in a benefit concert for the Steger-South Chicago Heights Public Library. It’s their “Support the Sign” fundraiser. The event begins at 5::00. We’ll be performing beginning at 7:00. Come join us for the musical hits and highlights of 50 years ago when we pay tribute to The Class of 1973. Featuring Phil Angotti, Casey McDonough, Debbie Kaczynski, Jim Barclay, and William Lindsey Cochran.

Tickets are available here.
