Great Moments in Vinyl plays the Eagles—SOLD OUT

  • Joliet Area Historical Museum 204 North Ottawa Street Joliet, IL (map)

It started with a guy standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona.  But in just four-and-a-half years, the action had moved to “Life in the Fast Lane.”  That plucky four-piece known as the Eagles began their career with a hit called “Take It Easy.”  But their first album found them straddling both their love of country music and their yearning to rock out on their guitars.  Fortunately, what Rolling Stone called their “high-flyin’ harmonies” held their sound together.  And as they honed their craft over their next four records (and shook up their roster to become a five-piece), they put together what is universally regarded as one of the best albums ever recorded, Hotel California.  And if selling 32 million copies of that record weren’t success enough, the Eagles’ first compilation album that was released that same year has gone on to become one of the best-selling albums ever.

Great Moments in Vinyl will pay tribute to the Eagles with a concert that revisits the hits and highlights of this Grammy Award-winning band.  We’ll be featuring a talented ensemble of GMiV veterans:  Greg Woods, Jeremy Peters, Daniel Rausch, and Jim Barclay, plus first-timer Michael Mahler with bandleader and storyteller William Lindsey Cochran.

This concert is sold out!
