Here’re some more things you might not know about the group Chicago.

Peter Cetera was responsible for singing many of Chicago’s hits, but one time he put his foot down.  Songwriter James Pankow explained “the group stopped performing ‘Old Days’ live because Cetera refused to sing it.”  He called the lyrics "corny.”

Those portable Pignose practice amps that are popular with guitar players are made by a company that was launched 50 years ago by Chicago guitarist Terry Kath.

And although they got their start in the City of Chicago, when they actually began making records, most of the band lived in L. A.  And the studios they did most of their recording in were in New York, California, or Colorado.
