Joliet music fans! This one’s for you!

Great Moments in Vinyl helps you get to know the music you love by taking you behind the songs and into the stories behind them.  So this December, join us for The Hits of the Holidays, and you’ll discover things you didn’t know about your Christmas favorites.

Like the college concert encore that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band turned into a Christmas staple.

Or the searing surf guitar workout on a holiday standard that’ll thaw out any wind chill when the weather outside is frightful.

Or the punk band arrangement of a seasonal fave that’ll have you wanting to join the ten lords a-leaping and nine ladies dancing.

Or the Cheap Trick hit that they rewired for the holidays.

And who knew a Lou Reed arrangement would make such a great backdrop for a Christmas song?

This December, give yourself a break from yourself a break from your holiday To Do list and enjoy one of best things about the Christmas season:  the music!  Great Moments in Vinyl gives you The Hits of the Holidays.  December 17th at the Joliet Area Historical Museum.

Relive some memories with us and enjoy the insights into the songs that make the season bright.  Because when you know the stories, you hear more in the music.
