During the visit to the studio, that friend played Fleetwood a sample of an album that was recorded there by a duo named Buckingham Nicks, a song called “Frozen Love.” But when Mick heard the playback, he was more impressed with the guitar playing than the studio’s sound quality.

Fleetwood Mac has so many great songs that when we pay tribute to their Rumours album and more on Thursday, June 16th, you’re sure to hear some of your favorites.

In the liner notes to the CSN box set, Stephen called it “a wonderful song, but it drifted around too much. I rewrote a new set of words and added a different chorus [and] a story about a long boat trip I took after my divorce.”
