This GMiV Stay at Home Concert features sides 3 and 4 of the legendary double album that Eric Clapton created in 1970, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. He got to work with his dream band on this project, the soulful musicians he loved jamming with while touring with Delaney and Bonnie. And while he was at work in the studio, a chance visit by guitar virtuoso Duane Allman provided the extra spark that made this record one of the best loved in rock. It didn't hurt that at the same time, Clapton was undergoing the tortured realization that he had fallen deeply, obsessively in love with the wife of his best friend, George Harrison. Unrequited love makes for some great art...as you'll hear in the stories that accompany these songs.
