Glimpses of our recent tributes to E. L. O. and The Doobie Brothers
In a perfect world, I’d be hiring a videographer to document every show and turning their footage into a mesmerizing montage of memorable musical moments. But the reality is that all the money we earn typically goes to paying the talented musicians I get to work with. So for these two shows…both of which we’ve played and documented before,…I relied on what video footage I could get my hands on. For E. L. O., one of the people from the Joliet Area Historical Museum shared some footage she shot. And in the case of The Doobie Brothers, I picked up my iPhone and captured one bit of the set from where I was sitting onstage. Still, in these two snippets, you can sense some of the magic we felt performing this music for two very appreciative crowds.
